May 29,  · Perhaps in this case it was a good idea anyway, because on this release, the first album Wilson made since his wife Felicia died of leukemia in , he has reassembled all his previous bandmates from the Matt Wilson Quartet, Arts & Crafts and Christmas Tree-O (neither of which I’ve heard before, either).

Following That's Gonna Leave A Mark (Palmetto, ), Wilson substituted cornetist Kirk Knuffke for Andrew D'Angelo, pairing him with the drummer's alter ego, saxophonist Jeff Lederer. The band sounds more diverse here, able to expand in multiple directions.
